Mine is red too but I don’t think it means anything. Probably they just colored it so that it would stand out and you would easily notice if you put it in incorrectly
Deferred EA applicant here. Just got an email saying I didn’t complete my financial aid application. I don’t plan on applying for fin aid since I won’t get any, but was wondering whether this was a good sign since it seems weird that they would be emailing me about this a week before decisions come out and I never got this email before the EA wave. Thanks
I just got that email too and I was deferred EA as well not sure if it means anything?
I also received that email. Strange.
I also received that email and was deferred EA
Also just got that email and was deferred EA
Just received the financial aid email too, RD applicant. Very strange they are sending it so close to decision releases.
I am wondering though how to submit the missing documents. I see a mailing address to send them too, but does anyone know if there is a way to submit the documents online or will they only accept them via mail?
I got the email too, but can’t see the link they sent since I dont know my Eagle ID . Where can I find that?
It was sent in the first email you received when you applied @maymay00
I bet you all are getting in and that’s why you got the FA email. I’m only saying this because of the previous issue FA had with accidentally notifying people that they got it.
I hope that is the case for you all.
But, please bear in mind that many times admissions and aid work independently— both with time frames that must align with decision date including yes no and waitlists.
Also this stuff happens every year. I’m not sure such an obvious indication would be made before the announcement date. But perhaps it is accurate this time. Boy, I hope so for all of you. Fingers crossed.
Hopefully all good news in a week or so!
We got same email but cant find eagle id. Are you sure it came in first email received from BC?
did your email say dear student or dear applicant?
Mine says “Dear Student,”
the email i originally got said dear applicant when i applied EA, but now i got one that says Dear Student so I though that it was significant
I am 99% sure @oreomollykona The subject of the email is “Thank You for Your Boston College Application”
got it thank you!
I also got the FA email, I applied EA and got deferred. BC is my top school so as much as I hope it’s a sign of getting in, could it also be a sign of being on the waitlist? That would explain why it was sent so late in the process. On the other hand, if the recipients of the email were all on the waitlist, would they wait until decisions were out and applicants chose to stay on the waitlist to send out the emails?? That’s where my mind went when I first go the email because the first batch of recipients were all accepted, but I’m not sure. Any input on this theory would be so so appreciated, I’m dying over here waiting for the decision!
@TomSrOfBoston Can you weigh in on this topic to help this group of students understand the process? I think it has no indication or would have been stopped by the pros on the staff. Value your perspective.
Hope it’s good news for all of you ?! However if true it appears that BC has spent more money on admissions than IT because that’s 2 blunders in a short time frame LOL .
