Boston College: Strong/Weak Departments?

Based on the quality of the teachers, the various programs involved with that department and your own experiences/what you have heard, what are BC’s stronger and weaker departments/majors (i.e. Biology, Economics, Linguistics, etc.)? Any input would really help with my college decisions.

best- business

worst- engineering (cuz there is none…)

How are their science departments, specifically Biology/Chemistry? I was leaning towards majoring in biochem and I wanted to know if I would regret this at BC (sorry I’m asking so many questions).

Dear Hebehemonkey : The Chemistry department is extremely well respected at Boston College with many of the professors so well connected in both acdemia and business that a strong performance can write your ticket in either pursuit once you express your interest. Overall, the Chemistry Department also values the BioChem discipline both on its own merits and as a preparatory program for medical school pursuits.

I am in accord with Nyorker

Business is topnotch- especially finance.
