Boston College vs. Michigan

hey guys, so i am down to choosing between two schools - let me just tell you what i want to do with my college experience and what i want to do after undergrad. my plan is during these four years to study a lot of stuff, but keep my focus on the social sciences (ie poli sci, econ, IR, etc but mainly econ) and also keep my focus on business / finance stuff. then i really want to go to a top graduate school, either in business or in law (depending on what i end up choosing). but yeah

so now — which one of these two seems better?? im posting on the boston college group so im clearly leaning towards BC and i pretty much had my heart set. but then i started looking into feeder schools for top graduate programs, and i was michigan was #30 as opposed to BC’s #79

plus - michigan offers a wider range of courses and also has ross business school which would be AMAZING for a business / finance background. my problem with michigan though, is the size - like, i LOVE ann arbor, but i want a more traditional college experience (in BC, its like 8000 undergrads in a small-ish campus)

so yeah…im lost. would it be better for me to go to michigan in terms of my future? or is BC just as good?

College is what you make of it. Getting bad grades at either school will hurt you for graduate school, and getting good grades and either will give you an equal shot. I would go where you can see yourself doing the best and enjoying the academics the most. If you aren’t in CSOM at BC you can still take up to six CSOM classes, not sure how it goes with Michigan. Both are great academically, but as you know the campus feels are very different.
