So I am currently trying to decide between Boston College and University of Toronto for my undergrad degree. I'm in the College of Arts & Sciences at BC and the Faculty of Arts & Sciences at U of T. I'm originally Canadian (from a town a few hours outside Toronto) but have lived all over and am currently living in London (England) and attending an American school.

I'm not sure what I want to studyI did FIRST Robotics all through high school so I'm considering studying engineering, but naturally this is a conclusion that I came to after I finished my college applications. I talked to the people at U of T and they said I could try to switch to engineering for the upcoming year and it might work or it might not, but I could almost certainly switch after my first year in Arts & Sciences. If that turns out to be the right choice, then I don't mind spending the extra year in school.

BC would be a slam dunk for me if they had a direct engineering program or if I weren't considering studying engineering. But they don't, and I am, so I have a dilemma. My college counsellor pointed out that I could do my undergrad at BC in physics or something similar and then get a master's in engineering, which is true.

Also, U of T kind of intimidates me because their A&S department is so bigI toured it a few weeks ago and our guide was saying how she had a class freshman year that was 1300 people, but "most were pretty small, like 300 people". My high school is very small so I haven't had a class over 20 people in years. I know this will change in college, but at BC my biggest classes would be the same size (ish) as my smallest classes at U of T.

So I'm not sure what to do. Any advice would be much appreciated!
