I am a high school senior and I plan on double majoring CS & Econ at either Boston College or UW-Madison. I am having difficulty deciding which school would be better for me. Are there any major pros or cons to either school? In particular, Does anybody have experience with either of those programs. Also, how is the job placement and offering of internships at either of these schools?
They are both excellent schools. For me, the decision would be base on:
1 - Cost
2 - Location - Large city vs mid-sized city/college town
3 - East coast vs Midwest to start your career
@Zinhead Do you think overall program would make a big difference. UW-Madison having a larger more well known and well ranked program as opposed to BC with a smaller less well known program?
Both schools are comparable for their region, and nationally their reputations are very similar. I think the fit differences are larger than the academic or placement differences.
Which college did you end up choosing?
