Does anyone have any experience in the School of Visual Arts? Would like to know what it’s like. Is it as hard to get into as the rest of the university?

I’m in the College of Fine Arts, but I am not a visual arts student, so I don’t know much about visual art, but I can enjoy it, and, as an musical artist I understand something about aesthetic. That being said, many of my friends are artists (visual arts, in the school and I recently went to the Visual Arts/Graphic Design Exhibition, and I thought a lot of the work there was quite fine.

I don’t know how difficult it is to get in and I don’t know how well-regarded the school is. Most importantly, as with any Visual/Performing Art school, they will take you (and make it known) if they want you. I’m not saying you can be dumb as a rock, you do need to pass your courses, but I’ve met some people in the school who are great thespians/musicans/visual artists, but horrible students. Make no mistake though, they will lobby to get you in if they think you’re worth it.
