I’m pursuing a communications major.
I’m a MA resident.
White female (Italian, Irish and English descent, but nothing special, such as having parents that emigrated, or something)
I’m more than likely going to apply ED.
GPA:
Weighted: ~3.6
Unweighted: ~3.2-3.3 (Not entirely sure. For my estimation, I leaned towards using lower grades)
Every single course I’ve taken has been at the honors level, excluding English in 11th grade, in which I took AP Language and Composition.
My grades for junior year have undoubtedly decreased, but with a very plausible reason. I have a severe anxiety and panic disorder, which I have made known with the school, resulting in me missing 70+ days of school yet still maintaining a B/B+ average. With that being said, I’m an extremely motivated and hard working student. Although my illness interferes with much of my life, I try to persevere, and am slowly succeeding in my journey to conquering it all. I have received numerous compliments from my teacher on my “miraculous” grades for someone who misses a good majority of the lessons – but I’ve compensated for that by being a self-taught student at home.
I don’t have an extra curriculars because of my illness, unfortunately, but I do take quite a bit of electives.
Numbers in parenthesis are the amount of years I’ve taken said course
- Photography (three years)
- Media Literature
- Computer Art
And for senior year (not that it matters, too much), I’m going heavy on the academic electives that pertain to my desired communications major.
I’ve yet to take my SAT and ACT (I am going to take both), but I usually do above average when it comes to standardized tests. I’m eligible for scholarships based on my almost perfect state testing scores, so I expect to do the same for the SAT and ACTs.
Will add more details if needed.
Thanks!
