I find it odd that BU would call minority students first. No offense to anyone - we are Hispanic - but it just doesn’t make sense. what would be the point?

Okay is this for all minorities? or just Hispanics, African Americans, Native Americans a.k.a non Asians…

^^
Same question. I’m Asian and no phone call.

Is this minority thing true? Just curious. I just got my acceptance to BC which I’m VERY surprised about to say the least. If I got in there, I hope I’d get into BU! BU was my choice over BC for a long time.

Does anyone have a guess about what time tomorrow?

Earlier in this thread, a parent said their daughter received an email around 8 in the morning on a Saturday. So im assuming around that time. If you go back in this thread, you’ll be able to find it.

I got a call today but missed it! However my dad answered and he said that all they wanted to know was if I had any questions…does that still mean I’m in? Maybe they just didn’t want to tell him?

Guys I’m so nervous! BU is my number 1 choice. Let’s all hope we get in… Best of luck to all of you. It has been a interesting ride!

I’m a minority but didn’t receive a call. Not gonna lie, I’m kind of worried. BU has always been my number one choice and if I don’t get in, I might cry.

@warholeffect They could not possibly have the time to call every single minority that was accepted in just one day- they probably just did as many as they could. Best of luck, I truly hope you get in :)

So it will just be an e-mail tomorrow for everyone who applied? I’m so nervous! Good luck everyone!!

Waiiiiiit so everyone’s just been getting minority recruitment calls?
Ahhh I had a small heart attack for a second.
I thought that was standard practice for colleges and competitive minority applicants, I didn’t think it meant you got in. I got one like two or three months ago and I just wrote it off as advertising…

Or maybe I’m totally wrong.
At any rate, we’ll all find out tomorrow (apparently/hopefully) so good luck everyone!

@sop520 Thank you for that. I definitely needed to hear that. Ugh! I’m so anxious, it’s ridiculous. Good luck to all of you who applied!

i got a call at 1:30 today from Boston but i missed the call, i am a minority and i dont know anyone else that would call me from Boston. i could be wrong though. But for the people that did get a call what number was it?

Received call from 617-353-2000

For everyone asking how I know, I just asked the lady on the phone why she called to give me the decision and she said that was the reason. Not sure the logic of it!

:/ ok thanks that wasn’t the number i got a call from. Guess ill have to wait tell tomorrow to find out.

^^^^Good luck!

did they give a specific time for tomorrow? or did they just say it would be tomorrow?

I wonder if it’ll be in the morning or late afternoon. They wouldn’t send them at night, right? Does anyone know if it is definitely confirmed that we will get an email or do we just have to check?
