@plshelpme11 don’t worry, it’s still uncertain that the message means anything so I’m sure you’re fine
also redsox99 has the same message as you
if that message doesn’t mean deferral, it would mean either acceptance or rejection. but you’re right, it’s useless stressing about it now. just one more day
there seem to be fewer ED applicants this year than other years, judging from the number of people on this forum
can someone please check in last years’s thread if the “as an ED applicant” thing meant anything
they didn’t have this problem last year, or at least they didn’t post about it @sagpcqsb
I think everyone’s overthinking it. There can be so any different reasons to why the applicant link may say different things to each person. There are a bunch of admissions officers and not all of us have the same one so what if that’s the reason there are different wordings on our applicant link? Was there a correlation to this last year? Either way don’t stress over it because there’s nothing we can do now until we get the letters tomorrow. But either way pretty much everyone that goes on CC gets accepted into their ED schools bc we just happen to be the really smart ones who overthink too much when we really shouldn’t so I think all of you have nothing to worry about until tomorrow
yeah, i really doubt it means you guys were deferred, you’re all above average for bu
i couldn’t really find anything on last years thread about this issue
I also have the message “Thank you for your application to the College of Arts & Sciences as an Early Decision candidate for the September 2017 semester. We will email you during the application review process if we are missing any required credentials for your application. You will be directed to check this page to see which credentials are not yet received.” I checked last years thread and there was a girl who also applied to CAS and had the same message up until she got accepted ED. So I wouldn’t worry too much this message can definitely mean an acceptance (or at least it did last year)
^^Facts I think we’re letting the statistics and “profile of admitted students average SAT” bs get to us. According to everyone that gets into college, it’s really not that hard to get in as we think and statistics are useless because colleges can say whatever they want on their websites first of all and second of all, you don’t have to get an above average SAT which apparently is a 2070 to get accepted. If that was the case, then the average would be a lot higher.
i was looking at the admissions officers on bu’s website and the one for southern california is named bode wilson. i wonder how he feels about the bode memes
@redsox99 you’re right i just need to calm tf down
ugh i cant help but stress since mine used to say as an ed applicant and they changed it
@sagpcqsb what do your stats look like?
@sagpcqsb same gjdjdjjshsjghh
lol they are not as good compared to you guys. but i’m not from the states so like my sat is not as high since english is not my first language.
@sagpcqsb are they similar to mine?
@hycrey has really high stats so i dont think it means you guys were necessarily deferred
hey guys my message reads: Our records indicate that you have applied to the College of Communication for the September 2017 semester. If this information is not correct, or if you would like to change the college or school of application, please call BU Admissions during regular business hours.
Also why do you guys think the decision will be tomorrow? It says December 15th on the website.
So stressed about this!
@plshelpme11 let me find them so i can check
