Boston University Fall 2021 Transfer

Oh yea nice

Does anyone know why they extended the application deadline to March 15?

Hey, could anyone chance me?
Applying to Questrom, currently at a private 4-year close to Boston
This is my fourth semester on campus + 5 AP courses
HS CGPA: 3.67, College CGPA: 3.62
SAT: 1380 (690, 690)
Essay: 9/10
LoR: 8/10, 7/10 (one from professor, one from coworker)
ECs: Founder + president of a club, leadership position in investment-related club, very strong freshman internship, various intramural sports + powerlifting

If I send my high school transcript that includes my dual enrollment grades, will that count as transcript for the transcript for those classes?

they don’t take dual enrollment unless it wasn’t used to fulfill high school credit (which was the case for me) :frowning: so make sure your classes weren’t used to do that. i think there’s a form on the portal you have to fill to send in your dual enrollment grades

anyone know BU’s transfer decision notification date?

Mid April to early May. I don’t think they got a lot of applications due to the pandemic so they could possibly come out sooner

I sure hope so, but if rumors are true that they pushed back the date, then it could just as well be later too.

plus on the site, they’re still accepting application until March 15th, so I doubt we’d get a response sooner

I got the email about how to log into my portal but I put the email in and I click to reset or forgot password since I dont have one and it says to enter your email and then it says I am not in their records. I emailed BU but it said it will take up to 2 weeks till they get back to me. Can anyone help with how to log into my portal for the first time

Lol Tufts University just recieved record number of application for Fall 2021 & i guess same thing will happen in BU. Competition will be high for fall 2021. Good luck anyway

Just call them & try to fix that issue over phone.

But that is freshman applications right?

I think combined because Tufts University also accept transfer students. All universities will reopen their campus by fall. I’m from community college & i heard they are planning to reopen in summer. So, there’s no way few student will apply for college this fall.

I am wondering if anyone can give me any insight about my stats. I applied last year to BU for film and tv as a first year student and didn’t get in. This year, I applied for public relations as a 1st year transfer student, so I would be going to BU for my sophomore year. I currently attend the Newhouse school at Syracuse University and I am a film and tv major. By the end of the year, I will have 30 college credits. I have taken mostly all GE classes and currently have a 3.667 gpa out of 4. My high school stats aren’t the best, I had a 3.3 GPA with a 600 English SAT and 500 math SAT but I didn’t submit my SATS this year to BU. I have really strong writing skills and believe I wrote really good essays. I have a ton of extracurriculars and even some job experience. I have visited campus before and have attended virtual info sessions. Just wondering if anyone could give me any input on what you think my chances are!

did anyone else apply to Sargent? do we know if it’s any harder to transfer in there than to CAS?

Why is it so quiet in here? When are we expecting decisions?
