How come when I’m trying to submit my syllabuses I’m only allowed to submit up to 6? It won’t give me the option to add another? Unless I need to add it, submit and go again? I’m not sure that’s how it works though… If anyone who has already submitted their syllabuses please let me know what you did because I definitely have way more than 6 syllabuses to submit.
Nevermind! I got it all settled!
I was just looking at previous forums and last year spring transfers were finding out about their decisions close to around Nov 14 and 15 and latest was the 30th. A lot of them said their portals were saying 2 or 3 paragraphs and I’m very confused as to what that means but I’m sure we’ll all find out in Nov! If any of you happen to know what that means please respond and let me know!
@fran1234567 I am not deferring, I was just thinking that there would be a rush of applicants who put off applying for the fall due to covid that would now be applying for spring. Fingers crossed thats not the case.
When you look at the received tab, do you have anything listed there? I have just my financial aid info.
@nontradishbish sorry I didn’t mean about your deferal I meant about your deferal comment but I agree with you.
When I look at my recieved all I see is my financial aid info as well. A transfer mentor I am talking to said that they should be up within a couple of weeks bc they do get a lot of applicants but if you don’t see anything within a week or 2 than you should call and see if they did recieve those. It also wouldn’t hurt to email and ask even now, that’s what I did way back when they were being sent out to them by my university and high school, I know for sure they have it it’s just not on the portal yet!
Did anyone do the optional essay? I didn’t and I’m afraid that might weigh me down during the decision process
I HIGHLY recommend to everyone to email or call admissions or financial aid to make sure that they did receive your CSS profile or any forms that you have recently signed and filled out. They just had a mix up with one of mine and I wouldn’t have known if I didn’t send out a quick email! Just putting it out there! Good luck you guys
Hey guys! I just submitted my application this past weekend. Happy to be done with it does someone want to chance me?
high school GPA- 3.3
College GPA: 3.9
I took rigorous courses and also was in a professional internship after high school that allowed me to work on a local and global level. It led me to apply to their com program. I wrote about it in my essay to give them a little bit of an understanding. my recommendations were awesome and I would argue that my essay was at least 9/10!
you should be able to submit, i submitted way more than 6! just add the 6, submit those and then submit the next 6!
@ramily17 i figured it out because they do not want any other syllabi other than the courses you are currently taking and any other classes that you had a C or lower in! At least from what i read!
@fran1234567 i think they want ALL syllabi, that’s what I understood! Just want to make sure you have everything submitted. if i’m wrong lmk!!!
@akusaka looking at the upload course syllabi on the portal it says at the top, “Only syllabi for courses in which you received at least a grade C or equivalent will be considered.” I just thought that meant they only want ones that you received a C in. But I could be wrong as well? I spoke with a transfer mentor and she clarified but I’m still not 100% about it.
You need to upload the syllabus for every class you plan to ask for credit for. Classes that you earned below a C do not need to be uploaded because they do not issue transfer credit for them. That is my understanding. For example, since I haven’t earned less than a C, I uploaded my entire transcript.
Completely off topic, but have any of you run into the issue where you need to report if you are enrolling at a school before you get back all your decisions? Some schools that I have already been admitted to need to know by Nov 15th, but I don’t think I’ll hear back from BU yet.
@nontradishbish For my one school, one deadline deposit is Dec 1 as well and I’m afraid that I might not hear back too. I think we will hear by then hopefully because looking at forums from last year and the year before they all heard back around Nov 14-15 and the latest Nov 30.
@fran1234567 that will be cutting it super close for me as Nov 15th is the deadline for one school
I just recently applied so don’t worry too much about that!
Hi everyone, also applied for Spring transfer. I want to major in Finance, but they aren’t taking Questrom transfers so I applied as Compsci, which I wanted to be my minor, and hoping I can change my major after being admitted for Fall term. I’m seeing on my portal a Proof of Graduation (HS) is required, none of the other schools I applied to require this. Anyone know what they want? It says I cant send it in myself, my counselor has to, but Im not sure she will know what it means.
@alee14 for the Proof of Graduation, sending in your high school transcript I’m pretty sure works fine for that. If you can reach out to your high school counselor (that’s what I did) and have them email it to BU admissions that should work too! Unless there’s a circumstance where you can’t reach out to your HS counselor then I would just email admissions and let them know the issue!
@fran1234567 Thanks for the response, it says that they already received my HS transcript which I had sent by my former counselor, do you think it may be a glitch?
