I had a 3.9, but your Why BU essay is most important. I know people with 3.2 who got in but they were heavily involved and had a large improvement from high school. when I was in high school I had a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale,
bu in a sense just wants to know you’re capable of handling the academic rigor
a 3.2 in HS or college? i have a 3.75 out of nyu (which i hope shows i can handle academic rigor) and a lot of club and service involvement and im just beyond nervous
Thanks for this! i’m kinda freaking out because i have a 3.6-3.7 depending on this quarter at a 4 year school that’s notorious for grade deflation and respected in my current major (even though i’m not applying with that major to bu) but i’m heavily involved in research and community service. i’ve been stressing out a lot about my chances. what do you think?
I can give an opinion but im not an admissions person so I can’t say for sure.
I was not heavily involved in research but I was in community service (and still am). for the research part I mentioned it heavily in my why bu essay in addition to mentioning the labs relevant to my major i hope to be apart of. as for grade deflation is varies among college and even majors. but in any major you have the ability to receive high marks so I don’t recommend being nervous
same for my above comment, my involvement was stagnated cause I applied mid panoramic (pandemic) lol. again your why bu essay reflects who you are (or at least want to be) getting in as a transfer isn’t the easiest but it isn’t impossible
the 3.2 was college, but they had a special circumstance, but it’s not something I press them on for (they are also coming from overseas, so they’re on a different scale entirely)
what year are you guys? im class of 2025
Is there an actual date? I didn’t see one anywhere.
idk ppl keeo saying acceptances are on april 15 and everyone else who doesn’t hear back is pretty much rejected or waitlisted

Mine still says I am missing my college report even though it was emailed over a month ago. I’ve tried calling so many times and they just hang up on me
Hi…I just found this information on admissions stats including those for transfer admissions.

I don’t think not getting a letter on April 15 means rejected (at least i hope not). in forums from last year ppl got in for a few weeks after the initial wave. Mostly ppl that waited until June ended up not getting accepted.

i dont think this is true! they give out acceptances all throughout april and then towards the end its rejection territory. it wont j be one day tho. dont worry:)
Decisions are always released on Thursdays 5:00PM EST so the 14th will be decision day! Acceptances will probably come through the first week or so of may! Good luck everyone
