Boston University UDCP

Sorry if this is wasting space, I didn't post this under the BU umbrella thread. I was wondering and would be very grateful if anyone has any insight or experience to share.

Here's some quick info: --skip to paragraph 4 if you don't want to read my boring drivel :)
I'm an IT grad from a 2 year community college (AS degree). 3.4 GPA. I did an internship in an IT department, and have military, volunteer fire firefighting, and years of law enforcement and professional experience, if any of that matters. Anyway, I live in a tiny town and am unable to relocate. I'm dead set on finishing my Bachelor's. The only school within 200 miles of me is the local, tiny CC, which only offers 2 year degrees.

I explored some distance learning options through the state uni's here and even those were very limited. The tuition isn't bad, but I'm not happy with the selection at all. I'm all ready to enroll into one of these programs and then....

I somehow stumble onto Boston University's Undergraduate Degree Completion Program. I was floored and immediately contacted the admissions people. This is what I want to do. This is a prestigious school. I come from a huge family of underachievers. My family consists of high school dropouts, criminals, etc. I'm the only one to step foot in even a CC. To me, Boston U. is like Harvard. Anyway, essentially the program lets you "transfer" up to 64 credits and then you enroll in 16-20 courses over a 30 month minimum and you end up with a "Bachelors in Liberal Studies". The degree does not specify online and it is a legitimate BU degree. Anyway, I'm floored and I had no idea that schools like this offered programs such as this one. I am a redneck at heart and am still in shock that I even have the option of attending a school like this.

Anyway, sorry for my rambling... Anyone else have any experience with BU UDCP? How selective are they? What is the experience like? The tuition, from what I can tell, is around 40k for 64 credits, which is a bargain compared to the full brunt of a 4 year stay there. Thanks for any info.
