So it would cost me about 10k a year more to attend northeastern over BU. I feel more at home at northeastern, but the business school didn’t look as nice (not that that really matters). I feel like I can succeed a lot more at Northeastern with the co-op program and everyone has always told fantastic things about the business school. Northeastern certainly is the more prestigious school in my mind. I prefer the size and structure of the campus at northeastern, its not 2 miles thin and has more of a campus feel. Im worried about this “grade deflation” policy at boston and that I would be at the bottom of the pack in terms of grades. It really feels like I wouldn’t fit in at BU, but the cheaper price might make more sense and may be the reason i go there. With all that said the only advantage BU has to me is the cheaper price tag and a business school that is much more aesthetically pleasing. Any tips or advice? Is it worth 40,000 dollars more after 4 years to go to northeastern?
Where is the 40K being paid from? What are your total loans after graduating at each?
Generally, with peer schools like this, I recommend picking the better fit, so long as it’s affordable. It’s worth some premium - the trick is figuring out how much it’s worth. It sounds like Northeastern will likely be worth it for you personally here, but that depends on the answers above and who you ask.
