<p>I got into both of the schools above. I'm really leaning toward Bowdoin right now. I'm interested in pre-med and maybe majoring in government or economics.</p>
<p>What can you guys tell me in terms of the specific programs at these two schools? Whose program would outdo whose (in terms of quality of the program, and the prestigious graduate schools options available to those students)? Programs such as poli sci, government, economics, biology, chemistry, neuroscience, pre-med?</p>
<p>Which school has the more stressful atmosphere? </p>
<p>If you HAD to say one, which would have the better post-grad opps (prestigious grad school, high end jobs)?</p>
<p>How are they individually regarded? What would you say their Academic peer schools are (not just schools that applicants also apply to)?</p>
<p>“Bowdoin yields is around 43%+ Tufts in the 30’s%” I don’t think yield is so important, especially since Tufts has a larger applicant (and acceptance) pool. However, the schools are virtually equal academic-wise so I would go with what your gut tells you :). I personally like Tufts but I’m more of a city type of gal :P. I’ve also never been to Bowdoin so I can’t really help you much there (but you have so it doesn’t matter). </p>
<p>If it makes a difference, I was interested in the college for a while and emailed a freshman guy there who was on CC and told people to ask him questions. He LOVES LOVES LOVES Bowdoin and was very enthusiastic and open to answering my questions :)</p>

Visited GW, Georgetown, MIT, Harvard, Northeastern and Tufts.
Was visiting the Tufts campus this past weekend.
S crossed off list after visit. Just didn’t feel it. (same with MIT)
I hated the surrounding area. But that’s just me.
Will check out the campus at Bowdoin this summer.
Surprisingly, he loved the NU campus and will be a safety school.</p>
