bumpppppp! please help :)

You bumped your thread after a single minute?

Anyway, it more come down to what you want out of it. Brunswick is nice, but it isn’t as near to a major city as Tufts is by any standard. Both have good academic environments, both have the major features of a liberal arts college (Bowdoin more so obviously), etc. What were you hoping to get out of it?

Have you gotten off the waitlist to one recently?

i meant to bump another thread - whoops! and yeah i know someone who is torn between the two - they feel like bowdoin has the better reputation/education (plus they got better fin aid from them) but they see themselves having more fun at tufts

eh, I don’t know about Bowdoin having a better reputation. They would probably be about the same to me. But honestly, reputation is far overrated.

How much financial aid are we talking about? What would be the net difference, and could he or she go to Tufts without loans?

Bowdoin costs: 52,000
Bowdoin aid: 37,000 grant

Tufts costs: 56,000
Tufts aid: 34,000 grant
3,000 loans

net difference: about 18,000

“net difference: about 18,000”

How did you get that figure? I think the difference is ($7,000/year) x4year = $28,000 for 4 years.

because thats what he told me it was given scholarships and whatnot that he has etc…
