<p>If i get into bowdoin college, do i just major in biology? when do i apply to pharmacy school (b/c some have the two year pre req, while others don't).

<p>Most students complete their pre-requisites in 2-3 years and take the PCAT after they’ve completed Gen Chem I&II, Bio I&II, Organic Chem I, and Calc I. You’ll also need physics, anatomy & physio, microbiology, orgo II, calc II, and various other courses like psych, public speaking, economics, depending on the pharmacy school’s requirements. Some PharmD programs have a requirement, or at least a strong preference, for students with a bachelor’s degree…particularly the California schools. It would be a good idea to take a look at the requirements for any PharmD programs you’d be interested in as they can vary significantly. All of that info can be found on the AACP website.</p>
