Pomona is #2 according to this list. These two colleges truly are top notch and special gems. Happy to see these 2 take top spots versus Williams and Amherst which in my opinion Niche got it right.
Awesome school, D just graduated last spring. She got an outstanding education and truly loved it, it was really amazing to see all the experiences Bowdoin offered her, more than any one person could do. Professors were great, facilities are first rate. The big challenges are getting in and meeting the academic challenge- the academy expectations are very high.
Though some people might object to the ranking as not reflecting the ‘standard rankings’ (and considering Amherst and Williams don’t make it top, the objections are valid), I believe this ranking reflects the overall quality of life that colleges provide to students. I personally considered all factors when applying to college; for me, quality of life like food, facilities, dorm quality, etc. were as important as academic criteria. It is happy to see that some rankings take this into account as well, although students should not stick to all rankings as some textbook/bible reference and determine the level of college solely based on that.
