Thanks for taking the time to read all this, and I hope you can give me some idea of where I stand. Also if you wouldn't mind chancing % each indiviual school. Thanks.

Huge Reaches - Penn, Duke, Columbia, Dartmouth, Harvard, Pton, Stanford

Reaches - Cornell, Emory, Gtown, BC, Tufts, NYU

High Matches - UF, UMiami

I think you need to add many more safeties/matches and take out a few of your high reaches unless you score 2200+ on the SAt. Practically every school on your list is very selective. Regardless, study for the SAT and do well senior year and if you raise that SAT by 200-300 points, you should be in good shape. God luck.

Are you considering ED/EA?

Hey, FBLA is sweet. Way to go!

With regards to your chances, I'd say that the Ivies are all going to be massive reaches. The other private schools you listed will all be reaches to match-reaches. You'll have a relatively easy time getting into Miami and UF. Emory should also be somewhat less competitive than the other schools, but not by much.

Yesss. I Plan On Doin Early Action For The Top Schools (if I Want To Apply There) And Early Decision To My Top Choice Tbd.

which schools? ED/EA. Then I can predict your chances.

probably early action to harvard and princeton (best shot then) and early decision to U Penn Wharton

any posts?

U Penn- Wharton - Reach
Duke - Slight Reach
Cornell - Slight Reach
Dartmouth - Slight Reach
Emory - Match
Georgetown - Match
Boston College - Safe match
Tufts - Match
New York University - Safe match (NYU Sterm: slight reach or match)
University of Florida - safety
University of Miami - safety
Harvard - Reach
Princeton - Reach
Stanford - Reach
Brown - Slight Reach
Columbia - Reach

Any more posts?

You know if you apply to Harvard or Princeton early, you can't apply to anywhere else early right?

That being said, I think Flippy's pretty on target assuming you score around a 2200-2250 on your SATs.

I would apply EA and have until may to make up my mind. so i could apply to other colleges.

I highly disagree with Flippy. I think he's being highly lenient. There's no way Brown is a slight reach with just a 1950 SAT. If you can raise that SAT to 2200+ then yes you have a good shot at the Ivies. But, as of now I really think they are huge reaches.

All your colleges are reaches. Well, a few high matches, but that is it. Get some matches and safeties.

You guys are being a bit too lenient. Check out the UCLA thread alone this year and you see 3.9's and 2100's getting rejected/waitlisted. Check out other top schools and you see the same results.

The Top 25 are getting more apps and the year of 2011 is the pinnacle of college applicants (more applications). I'm gonna put some pressure on you for your own good and advise you to raise those SATs as high as you can (2200+s) or you will not be getting many acceptances from the Ivies/Top 25's.

gettin some responses
