Anybody in CA got something in mail yet regarding the scholarship? My son’s portal just mentioned the acceptance and no mention about the scholarship was made. Anybody else got the same thing on the portal but later got a scholarship in snail mail? Please keep us posted. Thanks!
I just got the Justice Brandeis Scholars scholarship ($17,500 a year) and the breakfast invite. The letter is written exactly the same as above with just the numbers filled out I think.
Financial aid hasn’t come yet for me.
My son just got the snail mail for Presidential, but he can’t find it anywhere on his portal.
Anyone know what their need based aid is like? Waltham is a lot closer and a lot warmer (OK, less cold) than Waterville ME.

It would be useful to know if folks are finding out about merit/scolarships through only snail mail or through portal and if through portal whether you are international or domestic.
No email or letter in the mail. So, does that mean I’m definitely not getting any money?
No, every accepted student will get a letter in the mail so it just depends on where you live as to when you get it. The merit aid will be inside, and financial aid is separate and will come a few days later I’m guess
I got my acceptance letter and scholarship letter in the mail today. I received the presidential scholarship- $15,000 a year! I’m pumped. But I didn’t get any info about financial aid.
I found out about my merit aid through the portal and am an international student. Yesterday, I emailed them asking when I would be receiving my package in the mail and they replied saying that they won’t be mailing the acceptance letter to India (which is where I live).
in the past threads, merit scholarships and financial aid arrived in different letters, so just bc you don’t have FA yet doesn’t mean you haven’t got anything. just wait
Does anyone know approximately how many students receive the QBReC fellowship each year?
They say financial aid letters should arrive in about a week. So hopefully by Thursday we will all know what we got and how much this will cost.
so i got my letter today with the acceptance and dean’s scholarship, but i haven’t gotten any notice about the lsc (i was invited to apply to media and politics). does that mean a rejection, or do they come out later?
I also applied for LSC and havent gotten anything yet. I dont think they came out yet dont worry.

I was nervous because I live only a half hour away and didn’t get anything in the mail yesterday. Does anyone know how many people get each scholarship? My mom just wants to know and I couldn’t find it online
Re. how many get each scholarship: I also don’t exactly know, but an assnt. coach had mentioned to me last fall that “only the top 3%” get merit aid (i.e., scholarship funds) but that more than this (over 3%) get some amount of need-based aid (unknown amount). (And I’m talking about US students; fin. aid I think is generally a smaller percentage for international students.)
