Does anyone know anything about this award? It said it is $17,500 per year, but it also said if I am eligible for aid, the award would be included as part of the aid. Does that mean it does not add on to my $50,000 of need based aid?
From that phrasing, unfortunately it sounds like it’s part of the $50,000. But I’d call them up and ask - with financial aid, it’s best to get your answers straight from the source.
(I also got invited into the Humanities Fellowship - I did some research and it’s not just a grant, it looks like we get a lot of access to humanities professors, study abroad stuff, etc. Very cool!)
Humanities is defined differently by different people. Sometimes it is distinct from the social sciences and sometimes it encompasses them and differentiates Humanities from the STEM disciplines. Is the Humanities Fellowship given to prospective history or poli sci majors, or just to students planning to major in English, foreign language, etc.? Thanks.
