When does Brandeis provide admission/denial notification to transfer applicants? I sent in my application just before the April 1 deadline.

When did you submit your application? Have you heard anything back from Brandeis yet? If so, how? Email? Snail mail?

Brandeis has rolling notification. I sent most of the application in Feb., but then I found out that my professor never sent the recommendation letter [After Brandeis notified me about it] until April 6. So I’m supposing it takes 3-4 weeks after all materials have been received.

Didn’t hear back yet, crossing my fingers tho.

Wow, how unfortunate that your prof sent the rec late! That has likely prolonged your wait. Good luck…

Anyone else? Please keep us updated!

I got a callback from someone in admissions who told me they start sending replies via mail at the start of May.

Hey, I recently got a e-mail from Associate Director of Admissions asking me that they are interesting to review my application, so i should sent any grade( midterm), decision will be open on June 1, he told. I hope this help. Have any of you heard anything??

Can you copy paste the email here?

Denied via email form letter today.

Sure… sorry for the delay.
Dear xxxxxxx,

Congratulations! On behalf of the entire Brandeis community, it is my pleasure to offer you admission to Brandeis as a transfer student beginning in Fall 2011. The Committee on Admissions was truly impressed with your academic and personal accomplishments. We find you to be an ideal fit for our campus and are confident that you will excel here.

When you come to Brandeis, you will join a campus community that believes that intellectual challenge, hard work, and the free exchange of ideas create a difference in the world. Your experience here at Brandeis will be marked by an exceptional, broad-based liberal arts curriculum and the opportunities afforded at a top research university. As a member of the Brandeis community, you will join other talented students from nearly every state in the nation and over 50 countries to discover many ways to make a local and global impact. This is the beginning of one of the greatest adventures you can imagine.

A package is in the mail with additional information regarding enrollment forms, deposit deadlines, and financial aid. Please read that information carefully when it arrives. In the meantime you can visit our admitted transfer student web page here. *You may need your SAGE ID number to access some of the information. Your ID number is: xxxxxx

Our Registrar will mail a provisional credit evaluation of your previous undergraduate studies. Please note that some of the credits that are transferable to Brandeis may not count toward your major. You are encouraged to contact the Undergraduate Advising Head in your intended major to discuss the requirements for transfer students in that major. Students interested in the Business or Creative Writing majors, which both require an additional application, are strongly encouraged to contact Grace Zimmerman in Business (gzimmerm@brandeis.edu) or Olga Broumas in Creative Writing (broumas@brandeis.edu) prior to enrolling to discuss their eligibility for those majors. Please carefully review the “Explanation of Your Transfer Credit Evaluation” document included in that packet.

Transfer students may request on-campus housing by visiting the Community Living website and completing the “New Transfer Student Housing Application.” Priority for on-campus housing will be given to transfer students who live outside of Massachusetts.

Your record of academic achievement is impressive. Your acceptance to Brandeis is contingent upon your continuing to uphold high standards of academic excellence and character. Please submit a final transcript including your current semester grades as soon as it becomes available.

The Committee on Admissions is excited for you to join the Brandeis family. Welcome to Brandeis!

Sincerely,

Mark D. Spencer
Dean of Admissions
