Accepted but MidYear. Not complaining, I just want to know why :-/ Congrats to everyone who got in!!!
My waitlist fellows do you have anything in mind what to do with this? #-o
@itsajerseything I’ll probably end up going to Rutgers too…
Accepted; was just looking at the regular decision results thread … did nearly everyone who got in choose the “un-invent something” supplementary prompt?
@wishful2015 Hi, I’m a current Midyear at Brandeis right now and I love it. I was also shocked when I got my decision because I didn’t apply to go midyear. Brandeis hand picks people from their applicant pool who they think are mature enough to able to come halfway through the way. Being a midyear is a great opportunity. The first semester there are programs for midyears to go abroad in London, Florence, or D.C. Midyears also have the best dorms on campus, tend to be more outgoing than fall admits, and are a really close group. I know the decision doesn’t seem ideal, but I would still give Brandeis a chance. I was so disappointed when I got my decision but now I wouldn’t trade being a midyear for anything.
@marble13 I was accepted, but I did the supplement on the unjust law that should be broken.
Thank you so much to both asadams1996 and Isabelle99! We really didn’t know what to make of the midyear acceptance. My son is only 16, so we thought it was his age that stood out. Perhaps it was the fact that he already has many college credits (they might not have even taken note of his age). We all feel a lot better now (though we are still waiting to hear from several other schools, Brandeis is actually the only one of them we’ve visited). We’re a lot move excited having read your posts.
Thank YOU SO MUCH @asadams1996 That honestly boosted my mood so much!!! I was unsure on how to feel but your comment makes me feel a little bit better about the decision!!!
@marble13, I was accepted and chose the “Why Brandeis” supplement.
Also, I did not have an interview.
@marble13 i was accepted and i chose the uninvent essay
accepted and chose the generic why brandeis, but i think the interview really helped
Can anyone who was accepted last year and or ED/ED II elaborate on how long it takes acceptance packet to come in mail?
Accepted does anyone know what type of merit aid Brandeis gives? And I’m sure someone answered the “when do LSC decisions come out” and I just skipped it, but if not, has anyone heard anything?
I also did the Why Brandeis? It was really last minute because I did a terrible job with deadlines and applied too many places but I found a lot of reasons I wanted to go and I guess it worked.
I haven’t heard anything about LSC. I was wondering the same thing…
Accepted!
My kid was accepted!! Wrote the “uninvent” essay. Going back for a second visit in a few weeks before deciding, and by then we’ll know what other acceptances come through. Will also have to see what happens with the LSC and merit aid. Very exciting times!
Does anyone know whether creating a “Brandeis Community Account” commits you to going to the school?
Should I create it after I make my decision? Or is it okay to do it now?
Brandeis only accepted 60 out of ~615 waitlisted students last year. I already notified them on the portal that I wish to be on the waitlist with additional info (blog and stuffl like that). Should I still email the adcom?
So disappointed Brandeis is my top choice : (
Accepted and also accepted at Boston college at the same time:)
Son was accepted, with the “uninvent” prompt, no interview (we are on the west coast). We are super excited and think it would be a perfect fit, but it will all depend on the $. I wish the $ info came at the same time as the admission info!
