Brandeis VS UR

Which one do you think it's better ( social life, diversity, Pre-med)? I don't care much about the weather. But, as I know, they have the same ranking in U.S. News " America Best Colleges".

Any suggestions?

Have not seen UR yet, but toured Brandeis last year. Except for a couple of cool OLD dorms, the rest of the campus is rather drab and institutional (in a bad way, not too collegiate) - very '70s! But, if you keep Kosher, they have separate dining facilties!

i can't speak about UR, but i love brandeis.

Full, your post was wrong. There are not separate kosher facilities. Unlike most other schools in which Kosher dining is separate, here kosher and non-kosher students can eat together. Sherman, the all-you-can-eat buffet, has two sides. One is glatt kosher and one is not. The kosher trays are different, so everyone can sit down to eat and socialize.

It's true we have some cool old dorms... A CASTLE!!

Our student center was built in 2002. It's the hub of campus life. I disagree completely agree that our campus is drab and institution. They just renovated all the classrooms in the humanities quad. My dorm was renovated in 2005, and the adjacent dorm was renovated in 2006.

We are in the process of building a new 154-million science complex.

Sorry, but that was my first impression on visiting the campus last spring. You do have a nice view overlooking Boston!

URochester's Student Union is among the voted top 10 in the nation for being the most useful/attractive/convienient/active. Its the one with the glass-steel frame and the flags of all the ppl all over the world who attended the university hanging off the ceiling. pretty cool.

yea i visited campus and the student union was really cool. like awakien said the glass walls and there usually club meetings going on there, and most of the orientation events go on in that area. And I think some of the eating places are there as well. MANNN i cant wait to go to UR!!!! :)
