I do know people who have gone/are going to Skidmore. It's a great college in a WONDERFUL college town. They seemed to have excellent study abroad options--it was the only one of 20 colleges we visited that even had a study abroad option for freshman year--to England, I think. Try to be happy about this Bob, or at least open-minded to becoming happy.

Bob,

You can absolutely transfer from Vassar or Skidmore to Brandeis, and receive most (if not all) of your credit. I am proof positive. I have spent my freshman and sophomore years at the University of Massachusetts in Lowell (not the most amazing of state schools by any means). I decided enough is enough and attempted a transfer. Brandeis accepted me, gave me about 16,000 a year, and took almost every single one of my classes and credits (with the exception of one).

So, trust me, go to the school you have sent the deposit to, do the great work you are obviously capable of doing, and in two years (or even one) if you don't like it: head over to Brandeis.
