<p>I wish every person attending KP a great break!! You have all earned it. </p>
<p>KP10 is staying on until Sunday evening due to a regatta this weekend. </p>
<p>We just received a phone call from him and he has had a great day in the city with a friend. First they went and heard Beethoven's Fifth, had a bit to eat and a walk about the city and then they went to hear a string quartet this evening. The first concert was compliments of the city :) the second one they had to put up some money. </p>
<p>The phone call I got was "Mom that was the best 44 bucks you ever spent on me, thanks, I will make it up to you when I get home". </p>
<p>It was good to hear him with such a happy voice. </p>
<p>We just picked up my son at the airport. He looked great in his Service Dress Blues. We heard some very funny stories about stress-relieving pranks during exam week.</p>
<p>It is amazing how grown up he has become in such a short time. </p>
<p>I don't feel like I am talking to an adolescent anymore but a young man! </p>
<p>KP10 did not get in until near 1 AM Monday morning. I was able to take him to lunch yesterday at the school where I teach. He wishes they could import our culinary arts program to the KP campus. We had a great meal in our usual "friday night festivity" form last night. No it wasn't Friday night but we were celebrating. </p>
<p>The next few days I imagine he has a run of social events with his friends, which are to be expected. Friday he goes hunting with his Father and we hope for a pheasant meal Friday evening. </p>
<p>Saturday will be a variety of family activities weather dependent in the morning and watching his brother's hockey game in the afternoon. Then like all good plebes he will ride the big bird back to KP.</p>
<p>Break is so short and so sweet and almost over! And we have taken so few pictures. I hope to get some today. </p>
<p>Here are some of KP10. Mostly of his hunting adventure yesterday. </p>
<p>The first one I cherish as in the background is a water color he did when he was very young of our sailboat. I loved it so much I had it framed for a Father's Day gift. </p>
<p>Great pics, KP10sMOM. Looks like KP10 got the bird like he predicted. I can almost smell all those bits of nature he described. It must have been great for him to get way out in the wild after being in the metropolis of New York.</p>
<p>Our son took the plane back today. It is eerily quiet at our house for a change. But I heard he was very busy at Kings Point with the PKT test, changing rooms, and getting ready for next trimester.</p>
<p>Yeah, he loves to be outdoors and there is plenty of that around here. </p>
<p>He took a long hike up Tiger Mountain with his female friend during the week also. It was a really clear day and he reported really great views from the top. </p>
<p>Our dog was thrilled for all the extra activity. But she ran too hard on Friday and was limping Friday night and Saturday! </p>
<p>The first three days the weather was pretty cold in the morning with heavy frosts that didn't lift, then we had rain. Both which are conditions not conducive to a "ride". The Ninja stayed safely tucked away! </p>
<p>Thanksgiving isn't far off. KP10 originally was going to stay and go to his Gma's but now wishes to come home. As soon as we know about when he can leave we are hoping it won't be too late to get his ticket.....</p>
<p>It is very quiet tonight here in this household too.</p>
<p>we get out tuesday after our last class for thanksgiving. its not too late to book a flight, i just booked mine before i left to come back up here, just go on travelocity or orbitz, you can usually get a pretty good deal from them.</p>
