i am still pretty new to this forum but i thought i'd see what the other KP kids are planning on doing over fall break. i don't know about the rest of you, but watching some Kung Fu while eating fried chicken sounds exceptional right now...

oh, you'll be doing more than eating chicken and watching TV....trust me
:)

i dont get to fly home till sunday cause i have a sailing regatta... any how... so far i am planing on talking to my high school. going out to dinner with some friends (wednesday). hanging out with my old girl friend and going hunting over in eastern washington

oh really now dad? what did you have planned?

LOL Oooooo is2day. Wanna come to my house instead? I promise you don't even have to make your bed or pick up your clothes. You can leave it for The Jamz to do when he gets home. I can make him too. Plebes get higher rank than a mere Mid in this household. And Mom's out rank any of ya. :D

JM also feeds chocolate cake for breakfast :)

These raised two strong, strapping young men! Pop Tarts & granola bars are for wusses. These are the "real" thing that keep you going until lunch time. If I was out of them, THEN I baked a cake.

geez...can we both come JM???

"oh really now dad? what did you have planned?"

I don't know about your dad, but I have yard work planned for KP10!!!!!!!!!!!

NOT

Jamzmom, You are the maternal icon of good nutrition, I see......

You and my youngest would be two peas in a pod...

PS: JRH there is milk and eggs in the chocolate cake. As well as fortified flour

the most yard work i am going to do is stomping down sage brush out in eastern washington... shoot i can all ready smell the sweet sage on a cold crisp morning. with the smell of the dog, and gun, and my oiled chaps.... oh its going to be nice....

Thats ok Kp10, just stomp on my heart and grind it into the dirt and spit on it a few times while youre at it. Kidding. Sorta kinda. Though I could truly see through your eyes with your few short sentences. Sounds like a little bit of heaven for you. Hope when you get home, you can have it & enjoy those very things you describe. Funny how simple things mean a great deal at this point in a Plebes life. A breeze with the scent of tea olive & watching ducks paddling in the lake while setting on a swing meant a great deal to someone I know. Ack! Shake it off Jamzmom! Geez what a mush! Hey,tell your brother Im coming over with milk duds. Breakfast of champions! :D

JRH, sure! Cmon over. Lard is one of the four basic food groups in the south. As long as we have Doc KP2001 who can prescribe us little pills for our arteries, well be fiiiiine.

Yeah, hunting is a special time for him and his father and his dog.

On AIM tonight he confessed sometimes he misses the dog the most. But she is a total sweetheart and GSPs well they aren't exactly dogs either.......

Oh I hope well it sounds bad, but I hope the birds don't win. Baked pheasant wrapped in bacon baked on a bed of orange rice, well it really would taste good......

KP10 didn't mention the Ninja, I suppose I will put his helmet and gloves in long term storage, he won't be needing them.......

kp10 isn't allowed to ride a motorcycle. if he were to get hurt at all and it came out that it was from a motorcycle that would be no bueno for him.
i'm thinking some foosball with pops sounds like a good idea. even though he's going down.
so who is excited to be able to sleep in??? (for me that's anything after 4:30AM) yay!!!

yea "no" motorcycle...

Fall Break can be a 'shock' if all your friends are away at college and their break does not occur the same week as KP's. Yes, some kids are around, but I think it really hits home, that once you graduate from high school, your friends move on, and life as you knew it will never be the same. My son's first Break found him spending 'quality' time with Ma, but he was restless. Last year, he drove to TN and spent a few days with his best friend who goes to UT. This year, his final year, he and two classmates are driving to each other's home for a few days, and will end up here for the final stop. That sounds fun. Once again I will be outnumbered by males, but as Jamz Mom knows, it's Ma who rules the palace! As for getting work out of them, I am hoping they feel like stacking firewood. Nothing like learning the fine art of stacking wood on a crisp, Fall day...Agree?

MountaineerMom

the only firewood i would stack is if i was camping and needed it....

Well KP10, I see you would be a tough 'case' to crack. I have my ways though.....Nice sense of humor there...

MountaineerMom

Is it true he isn't allowed to ride a motorcycle, seriously?

MountaineerMom, He thinks coming home is being on vacation. He he he he.........
