Has anyone ever heard of Brescia University Online? They are a “brick and mortar” college that offers online degree programs, one of which is Social Work, which is, surprisingly, accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. I was considering obtaining my BSW there instead of at a large public university, but my thing is, would it be better for me to go to campus and do my interships and hours (required for BSW) there, as opposed to online? What do you guys think?
I know of the bricks & mortar Brescia. A small liberal arts Catholic college in northern Kentucky. As long as the BSW program is accredited, you can feel secure with it, from what I’ve learned. Owensboro is a pretty small place (about 80K pop.), but it has its charm and like any city, it has social work needs (internships/hours). Where do you want to get your MSW? It seems to me that a lot of schools with this type of heritage are incorporating online education degrees while also expanding to university status.
