Bridging Disciplines Program

Hey, I'm a junior in hs in top 8% and I'm not sure yet what I want to major in. I have started looking into this program but I'm not exactly sure what it is. Do you pick a major and then take this course or what? I'm pretty confused so please help:)

Yes - these are extra programs, kind of like what other schools call certificates, that you do in addition to your major. If you complete one of these programs, you will definitely have done undergraduate research and had an internship Also, they have special sections of classes or they can reserve you spots in classes. In some cases, this makes registration easier.

alright thank you very much:)

I’m leaning towards innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship. I am applying this fall, so do I apply to BDP at the same time or when I am in UT?

Apply after you are at UT. Watch for information sessions and go to one.

You can apply for BDP almost pretty much anytime during your time at UT. I think you may have to wait until after the first semester, but beyond that, the people are not picky about when you take those classes.

is it like a semester of classes only?

Did you look at this link: [Forms & Guidelines for Current Students | School of Undergraduate Studies](http://www.utexas.edu/ugs/bdp/current/forms?)

It tells you the required number of classes/hours you’ll need for whichever bdp plan. I think it would realistically take about 2 - 3 semesters to finish it because you’ll have to take classes for your major as well.

alright great:)thanks
