Broadcast/Journalism Graduate School Help

I am looking to go to graduate school in order to get a master's degree in broadcast journalism. I have looked into Syracuse and Columbia, along with a few others (ie UC Berkeley), but I am not sure how good my chances are of getting into such schools.

I am entering my senior year at UC Riverside, majoring in Communications. My upper-division GPA is 3.9, overall I have a 3.5. I've done quite a number of internships- 5 to be exact. I've studied abroad in Italy and can speak Italian as well as Farsi. I am also in a sorority and have helped raise over $25,000 for victims domestic violence. I have yet to take the GRE, but will be doing so soon. And I am positive I can get great recommendation letters from my professors because I constantly go to their office hours for help on papers, midterms, finals, etc.

Do I have any chance of getting into such schools? And does anyone have other suggestions on schools I should be looking into?

I am personally very interested in going to the East Coast for graduate school.

Thanks!

I actually wanna do the samething to! I’m only in high school right now though. Columbia is like my dream graduate school and I know it’s really difficult to get in for journalism cause the program is so good. Your GPA seems competative, and your internships are impressive. I dont know too much about the other school though. Good luck, I really hope you get in.
