Broken hand and SAT II Writing, wtf am i supposed to do???

ahhh i broke my hand yesterday (writing hand) and was planning on retaking the writing test in December.... i guess i could practice writing lefty, but it probably wouldnt work out to well because it'd take too long to write and probably be unreadable. I wonder if they'd let me use a laptop or somethin

Maybe they can get you a scribe.

No i'd say you are truely screwed.

Maybe you should try to contact the collegeboard or something if you really must take the writing test again (btw, how did you do on your previous score?)

If you're a junior, I'd just wait until your hand is healed and take it whenever you can later on. If you're a senior, I don't think there's much you can do. They're not going to let you use a laptop or a scribe.

Talk to your guidance counselor. Maybe he/she can work something out.

i got a 610 and im a senior, i can live if i dont take the test i was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of this situation before. 610 won't kill my app if i already have a 1460 SAT and decent other SAT 2 scores.

I really wouldn't count on them accomodating you. The point of a standardized test is that it's supposed to be standardized.

I think you should talk to your GC Monday morning (as already suggested) and have a parent call CB about it. The CB site mentions using a computer on essays - but typically this would be for someone with a longstanding disability, not an injury.

BTW, I broke my arm in college and had to learn to take note and do tests right-handed. It was seriously annoying. I hope you heal fast!
