I'm curious as to what the brother/sister dorm groupings are? Do they go by proximity to each other? Son is in St. Ed's and apparently they are with Lewis AND Stanford (as a brother dorm) I guess the two guy dorms "share" Lewis! lol...

I believe the sibling dorms rotate every so often (annually?). Also, since there are 15 male dorms but only 14 female, one dorm must be shared every year. Lewis is the largest female dorm, so it is probably a good one to share.

Input (corrections?) from current students is appreciated - I’m a new ND parent also.

Yep, they can change annually - some dorms always pick each other, others switch it up every year.

Is that set then? Are Lewis, Stanford and St. Ed’s sibling dorms. Got placed in Lewis…

Yes, at least for this upcoming year, it is Lewis, St. Ed’s and Stanford! Pretty nice!
We have a friend, whose daughter graduated from ND and she lived in Lewis. When she found out that our son would be in St. Ed’s, she said, “oh, that is our brother dorm!”, so I don’t think it changes ALL that much from year to year!

As far as I know, the pairings are based on location (your quad). So I doubt that they switch all that often.

Not sure about Lewis’s situation, but you can probably find out on the dorm’s official website, that’s how I found out my hall’s sister dorm

Brother sister dorms are based on location, so they don’t change that often, though they do change occasionally.

Does anyone know the sister dorm for Duncan?

I think it’s Ryan, but I could be mistaken.

Yes, Ryan and Duncan, my D is in Ryan.
