I visited right at the start of finals’ week. But everyone was still so happy. It was awesome :)

I didn’t buy any Brown gear because I knew it’d make me feel worse if I didn’t get in

I’m not applying ED, and I haven’t visited Brown yet, but I’m still really obsessed with it, and am overanalyzing my stats trying to figure out if I stand a chance. :P

That’s OK, stick around on the thread though!

Well, we’ve been fairly quiet for a day :p

i would just like to say tht im extremely nervous bout this summer cuz i feel like im not doing enough :(. grrrrr. i hope i hve a chance. PLEASE LOOK AT MY CHANCE THREADDD!!! it should say like Brown ED on the first pg n tell me what u guys think. omgomgomg soooo nervous!!

haha I’m currently debating between either Columbia or Brown ED. Both would make me very happy :)

My username pretty much sums up my life. I’m a die-hard Lakers fan and I live in sunny California so I think the change in weather will be pretty interesting!

What part of CA?

Orange County

Oh nice! Neighbors, 50+ miles apart! Haha

Think the Lakers are gonna win? Squandering a 14 point lead…ugh.

I want Brown so badly, I am so ready to be out of the Bible Belt

swim2daend, chance threads can only marginally boost your confidence because chances are that you already know whether or not you’re in the ballpark. I think the rest is all a very selective potluck - you’re bringing something to Brown, but you just don’t know whether or not Brown wants it!

@xinyoureyes: One more liberal person who’s stuck in the bastion of conservatives? Amen, that’s my life story as well, coming from India :)

i just wanted to say that the people at Brown just appear so much nicer than everyone else …

You mean like the threads or like, the people@the school? lol

I must say you guys r pretty awesome

I think the people at the school were disarmingly nice. I mean, seriously, right from my tour guide to the lady making paninis at Faunce to the admissions officer at my info session. I think everyone there has their feet firmly rooted to the ground, despite being stratospheric in terms of intellect or passion or whatever else got them in, and that is one of Brown’s many assets :).

And you guys rock too! Here’s to hoping that we’re all in Providence next fall!

I mean I’ve been trying to decide between applying early to Columbia or Brown and when I emailed professors from both universities, the one’s from Brown actually seemed like they cared.

I’m having an AWESOME email discussion with a prof at Brown. I heart Brown!

I never even thought of contacting professors before applying. I feel behind the times. XD

Hey guys! I’m Michael, and I fell in love with Brown after looking into it this winter. I’m going to Summer@Brown this June/July, and I will almost definitely be applying ED :D
