Here’s our place to live, love and obsess, y’all!

:) introductions?

tetrisfan from India!

Decanela

Username? “Of Cinnamon,” describing my dashing good looks!
Location? Suburban Minnesnowta

Hello All!!
I can’t think of any more criteria for an introduction survey…

Hello. I, too, like tetris; i also like Brown. So, I’m going to apply! Yay!

Hey ya’ll!

I’m dreamsofivy, and I’m debating between Columbia and Brown for ED. I’m leaning towards Brown though. I live in Massachusetts and go to a Catholic school.

Oh, my username stems from the fact that i hate tetris :D

Heyyy guys!

I want to ED except I have a dilemma because I think my records (transcript wise) will be much better if I apply regular

^ SAME!
However, Brown really values interest & I think if they see your prospective schedule and are truly interested in you they will defer you.

Or is this horrible logic?

OMG SO NERVOUS!!! I WANT BROWN SOOO BADLY… someone needs to give me hope from outside my school. i HATE when ppl say your in at an ivy league cuz… u’re not lol

^ Yeah I get that all the time. And I hate it because I’m scared it’ll raise my hopes too high, only to make that crushing blow all the more painful if I do receive it come December.

Haha well skepticism is kind of worse…
the best i get is “well i think you can do it”
or “i commend you on your efforts”

Well at least they’re keeping it real by being skeptic. You’re brashly over-confident if you think you’re a lock at Brown :p

How did I miss this!?!?

I mean, do you even have to ask?

HELL YES I am applying to Brown ED! I’ve read my viewbook to sleep everyday since well over a year ago!

Username: Obstinate, because…well, I’m a pretty obstinate person. In an extremely intensely determined way.
Location: Carson, CA, about 13 miles south of Los Angeles.
And I go to a huge, overcrowded, ghetto public school 3,500 students strong.

And well, coming from a place where you feel like a number in every class (of 40+ often) and the school budget is constantly being cut by the omnipresent “district” (20+ miles away on a big ivory tower in Downtown LA), I’d love to be somewhere like Brown, where I can really, truly express myself and be extreme and not be discouraged from being extreme.

Yeah, and no one at my school really knows a thing about Brown, heh. No one applies to Ivies here. My APUSH teacher is like “I’m not quite sure what you’re doing but I totally support you every step of the way.”

Oh man, anyone else feel hopelessly in love with Brown as well?

When will they sticky us a thread?

The only solid hope I’m gonna get is Dutch hope (although I don’t drink, so good luck to me on that one :p)

And yeah, I guess we’ll get stickied when we start generating some sparks ;)

omg!! i want brown soooo badly!!! lol. grrr. its SUCH a match (personality wise) with me!! ughhh i wanna KNOW IF IM IN NOW!!!

Oh, I share your sentiments swim2daend, I really do :)

I’m visiting tomorrow
- viewing the commencement ceremony!

oh and the tuesday i get back is spirit week at my high school.
the theme of that day is “college day”

so i’m buying lots of brown crap to wear!
