Brown 2014?!?!

I like your chances at Brown and good luck to you! Judging by your name, are you worried about the Lakers tomorrow? I hope that the game is actually interesting!

haha not worried. the lakers lost because they wanted to win it at home … or thats what i like to tell myself :)

Yeah, if I were you, I wouldn’t be too worried either. I am one of those people who believe that David Stern wants an epic Finals match-up (meaning you have a clear path to a title), which would be Kobe vs. LeBron! Lakers over Cavs in 6 games…I’m calling it!

I think that you should be as chilled about Brown as you are for the Lakers! :)

(I actually don’t know if that’s humanly possible; Ivies drive us crazy!!! LOL)

I told you I’d bring my game today
I’m calling the Lakers vs Celtics; much more interesting match up. Plus we need to prove ourselves after last year’s embarrassing loss.

If only Brown were the Rockets and my application were the Lakers. I’d be heading there next fall ;)

Um… why is there a mention about your Ethnicity (Asian)?

cause URM have a slight edge over us asians

Looks like that Lakers vs. Celts rematch won’t happen now! HAHA…I’m still calling Lakers over the LeBrons in 6 games! Can’t wait to see Birdman tangle with Gasol, hoping for a K-Mart vs. Odom fight, and an overall physical series. Magic may match up well against LeBron, but we all know that Stern will let LeBron take a crack at a title.

Sorry to go all NBA on your chance thread, but I found this conversation too enjoyable! Also, that “Brown=Rockets and Lakers= your application” comment was too funny LOL!

BTW, I think that you stand a good chance at Brown, and you obviously love it, so apply early! :)

hahaha game 2 is tonight!

can anyone else chance mee please!
thanks

If you don’t get in, I would check to see if they ever got your application. You’re golden.

I got into Brown '13… and your application totally puts mine to shame.

Azn pryde.

Even if I have 3 Cs??

3 C’s won’t keep you out of Brown when you have ECs such as the ones listed and a clear reason for the otherwise unexplicable lapse in grades. Like other people have written, do not stress over this! If they don’t admit you, they are fools!

haha thanks. i have a reason for the C+'s during my sophomore year but I don’t really have one for the one I’m about to get this semester :(

How could one explain three Cs if they were simply in a subject they simply weren’t interested in? WHat if they got straight As in everything else?

haha if thats true. i have no interest in math :P

i’m pretty sure no one has gotten in Brown before with a 3.5 UW an 3.6 W before though :(

^ I’m pretty sure it’s been done sometime

I second tetrisfan’s comment, as I’m suer that several people (like in thousands) that have gotten into Brown with 3.5 UW GPA. Trust me, it has to happen sometime (although I don’t have some sort of legit study/research, sorry to the perfectionists!!!LOL  ).

You look like a very strong applicant, as I’ve already stated, and you just need to keep pushing yourself to succeed! Don’t give up now and keep your eyes on the prize; try to bring up that C you say you’re going to get!!! Good Luck! :)

HAHA, 'Melo and Mr. Bigshot must be making you fret a bit now, no? LeBron was AMAZING tonight, best player in the league for sure! Changing of the guard moment! :)

Hahaha math just isn’t my subject :stuck_out_tongue: actually Kobe is the best player but I’ve got to admit that LeBron’s 3 tonight was pretty amazing. Are you applying to Brown next year?

Don’t worry about not being a math wiz, as you’re clearly more of the artistic type (as noticed by your ECs)-this should fly at Brown!!!

I’m going to apply ealy to Brown in the fall of 2010 (I’m a sophomore this year). I love Brown and it ha been my first choice for a while, and I hope to run into you on the campus in a few years!

Kobe may not be the best player anymore because LeBron is playing out of his mind right now. He has single-handidly carried his team for 6 years now, and has made some major noise. Kobe will beat LeBron in the finals this year, but Kobe is no longer the best. LeBron only is an inconsistent shooter, but that probblem will be fixed over the summer. After that, Kobe will be No. 2 (but still great) while the NBA will be LeBron’s plaything for 5-7 years after that. This would be a great conversation to have on the Brown campus!!! ;)

Haha if you were applying next year you could have been a potential roommate. Let’s pray I get in. I’m still extremely worried about my grades no matter what people say!

When LeBron gets a ring let me know. As of now Kobe has 3 so LeBron is way behind
