Is anyone having any luck contacting the admissions team via email? I’ve sent four over the last 2 months and there haven’t been any replies. I’ve also called twice, but the connection was awful and the lady kept telling me that she couldn’t hear me. sighs

So yes, just wanted to know if anyone else was having any luck getting email responses from Brown.

I'm having a hard time getting my interviewer to respond to my emails. I emailed him and told him which days would work and he emails back like a week and a half later saying none of those days work. No kidding they all passed. Not to mention the lonnnnnggggggg wait on the phone. I don't know whats going on but I've fallen in love with Brown so they're forgiven.

My d got deferred ED, so she sent a letter reiterating her strong interest. She actually got a letter from the admissions dean who acknowledged her interest and said it would be added to her file. The response (snail mail) came within 2 weeks. We were very impressed.

My S also was deferred ED and he sent his regional admissions officer a letter stating his continued interest in Brown. He also received a response from the admin officer, with a nice handwritten note. Heaven knows if this matters or not, but I think it was very classy of her to respond.

I asked about interviews by email, and they responded within 15 minutes. This may be a stupid question, but did you remember to put in your email for them to return a response to?

Whenever I have tried calling Brown, it takes forever to get to the person you need to talk to, and you end up being put on hold at least three times. Luckily, I've only had to call once or twice to get my BUID/password.

I would try finding an alternate email on their website. Or try calling again. Though, depending on why you need to contact them, you may figure out you don't need to at all. (ie. if it's out of paranoia, rather than HAVING to contact them urgently)

5757 - We have learned not to read more into any form of response from Brown than what it is - simply a nice gesture. I have to add, though, that the Brown Admissions Office is one of the best based on our experience.
