<p>My friend received a letter of acceptance from Brown last week but the school's site says decisions will not be sent out until April 1. Should I be concerned? And does anyone know when Cornell CALS decisions will come out? What does early March mean? Thanks!</p>

<p>OP: your friend did not receive an official letter of acceptance because no Ivies give them out before April 1 (besides EA & ED schools). However, your friend could have gotten a “likely letter” (do a search about what these are) – which is indicating that an official acceptance will be tendered on April 1.</p>
<p>To that point, very very few eventual admitees ever see Likely letters. Your not receiving any is no indication of what results will be on April 1 for you. Good luck to you.</p>
