Brown Business?

I applied to Brown’s business degree, and was put on the wait list. I’m treating it like a rejection, however I still want to be prepared if I do by some miracle get a spot. Brown is my ideal school, and I would call it my top choice if I didn’t have some uncertainty about the business program.

Obviously Brown is ranked very highly and is one of the best schools in the country. However, they are not known for business at all. Can anybody comment on the program? Is it a strong one? How is job placement? Is it comparable to many of the top business schools like BC, Georgetown, Cornell, etc.?

Any guidance is much appreciated.

Also to add, would this be the typical study of business you get at a comprehensive business school? I’m worried that it is a more general study of business, rather than being able to concentrate in one area like finance or marketing.

Brown doesn’t have a “business degree,” or a “business major,” and you don’t “apply” into any programs. So frankly, I have no idea what you are referring to.

Well COE is now BEO, which does have the word “business” in it.
