@ThatGirlCoder read my post on the last page, they don’t request it from everyone
@whitespace I read it. I was just saying that most schools that don’t need it unless they request it have done so. The only school that hasn’t is Brown. Sorry, I’m just complaining at this point. The anxiety is getting to me
@ThatGirlCoder Patience and all will reveal itself =)
Thanks for the welcome @RamonaFlowers. You lifted my spirits after a week of waitlists.
Is anyone else being waitlist anywhere. I feel like I’m getting stuck in limbo.
@TheDeutschlander2222 welcome So far I’ve been waitlisted at 2 colleges and rejected by 2 so I’m feeling pretty helpless too
Have they taken their portal down?
ayyy rejected from UCLA
@McKilla99 sorry to hear that
@LucasKovacs appreciate it :’) I hope Brown understands me a bit better.
Got waitlisted at Chicago and BC, rejected at Northwestern and Ross preadmit. I’ve got no hope anymore.
Yeah I just got my first rejection from Grinnell. I, too, am devoid of hope for Brown.
It’s strange that the only academic program I’d like to participate in is only available at one of the most exclusive schools out there. I’ve found no other universities offering Semiotics as a major or concentration for undergraduates (aside from the University of Tartu, whose undergrad program is taught in Estonian).
This may be strange to admit but… I don’t really care about these schools’ exclusivity or prestige or data regarding graduate success. Just this academic program
I cannot stop checking CC. It is my new and quite unhealthy addiction.
Also- You guys are probably going to kill me but what time does brown release decisions and how do we receive them?
I got into BU, BC, and Northeastern (w scholarship) and then found out yesterday that I got straight up rejected from Tulane, a school that I just assumed I would get into. If I got rejected from Tula I know I’m not getting into Brown, yet I have this underlying and undying hope
@violintigress Just read the old pages, but you’ll get them at 5 on your portal.
Their Undergraduate Admission home page lists the evening of the 31st of this month. You’ll likely receive an e-mail asking you to login to your application portal.
@violintigress I’m not bothered, but but please calm down for your own peace of mind! Try a nap!
Brown releases decisions on Ivy Day (March 31, 2016) at 5PM EDT. You can check on your Applicant Status page, and Brown will likely send an email with a link to the page with your decision.
Does that help?
Remember, it will come out on Ivy Day; until then, relax!
Thank you guys! I am relaxing. Just one more question (for now): the Brown Waitlist. I feel as if the Waitlist is my only reasonable hope. How many kids get off the waitlist, or is it some ridiculously small number like 10
Although I am curious about whether the waitlist is offered to international applicants. Likely not but I’m gonna look it up regardless, might ease my anxiety.
12 days, 5 hours, 37 minutes and 55 seconds. Sorry if these countdown updates are annoying, but I thought someone might appreciate it
