I’m with you on the financial aid angle. I’ve seen the same pattern with other schools clearly moving on by a certain date and then the rejection follows.
I gather the FA office knows a lot more than we think. There is also overlap in the top tier administration between Admissions and FA.

Couldn’t sleep, and now I have to go to school where nothing else will be on my mind except the decisions. I have this constant feelimg of butterflies in my stomach. How are you all holding up? I know some of us didn’t sleep oast night either…
@mg29409 that describes me perfectly. School will end early tomorrow, so I’ll be home for 2 hours before decisions come out.
@mg29409 Same feeling here, too. Decisions are coming out in middle of our literature class while we are studying some poems discussing the futility of life. Don’t think I can concentrate either before or after the decisions…

This year many Columbia ED students recieved @columbia.edu email addressed activated hours before the actual decision came out. It was activated for their portal in order to see the welcome page.
My math class today finishes an hour before decisions come out. Going to check it when I reach home. Good luck to all of you!
It’s coming out 5 in the morning for me…nothing worse than starting a day with a rejection.
I think we already wrapped this up but for the for course recommendations for me it lists courses in biology and political science and African American studies (all that I mentioned in my application). At this point I’ve made plans to hang out with friends tonight and we all applied to Ivy League schools so we’ll just fill the void with memories lmao.
