I've been accepted to Brown, Cornell, and Georgetown. I'm looking at Brown's COE concentration, and Cornell's Economics major. I am interested mainly in economics, but I was attracted to Brown's COE because of its multidisciplinary approach. What about Cornell's AEM? Any thoughts on that?

I think I already answered your question over in the Brown thread. Cornell is a pretty multi-disciplinary place.

AEM is generally much less of an academic experience than Economics in the Arts College, but I know individuals from PAM, AEM, ILR, ORIE, and Arts Economics who have all gone on for PhDs in economics.

Cornell Econ is very strong and I would consider the departmental reputation very good. You'll have a lot of opportunities when you leave depending on what type of career/job you want. Lots of opportunities for investment banking for sure.

Just because not all the classes are calculus based, and everything isn't from a theoretical standpoint, doesn't mean AEM is less of an academic experience. I'd take practicality over theoretics any day.
