<p>Brown has made a decision as to how its going to handle the ongoing problems with the submission of Common App materials. The Nov. 1 deadline for ED applications remains unchanged, but the admissions office will entertain individual requests for extensions on a case-by-case basis. The requests must be submitted by email.</p>

<p>We are aware that a number of schools and students may be unable to meet our Early Decision application deadline (November 1) because of technical difficulties with the Common Application. For those who experience technical difficulties past November 1, we will continue to accept Early Decision application materials from students and schools and will continue to be as flexible as we can in responding to individual situations. If you need additional time to submit Early Decision Application materials, please notify us at <a href=“mailto:admission@brown.edu”>admission@brown.edu</a>. Please include “extension request” in the subject line. In the body of your e-mail, be sure to include your name and the date by which you hope to complete your application.*</p>
