Brown essay - help?

For the brown essay thats number 3. The one that says:

In reading your application, we want to get to know you as well as we can. We ask that you use this opportunity to tell us something more about yourself that would help us toward a sense of who you are, how you think, and what issues and ideas interest you most.

How do I respond to that? I want to send in an essay thats kind of like a significant experience essay. I wrote it for Brown but I am wondering if you guys think it fits the prompt?

I think it fits; the prompt is pretty open-ended.

The prompt is essentially a formal way of saying "Do whatever the heck you think looks good." If it is an accurate, vivid, and honest representation of yourself, then there should be no problem what so ever. The admissions office sees plenty of different approaches to this prompt, from the traditional, to the bizarre. I'm sure a significant experience would portray "who you are, how you think" and even "what ideas interest you most." A nice glimpse of your personality.

Good Luck!

-M

do you think if I talked about a significant influence in my life that it may be acceptable?

absolutely not

but it would indirectly reflect my thoughts, the issues that are important to me and who i am

indierock,

This prompt pretty much doesn't have a specific question, so don't worry.

A significant experience can have a huge impact on who you are, your interests, and how you think, so go ahead and write about it.
