Brown extracurriculars/ work experience essay dilemma?

I’ve written two different drafts for Brown’s question: Please briefly elaborate on one of your extracurricular activities or work experiences. (150 word limit)

Now I’m having difficulty choosing between the two (both are ready-to-submit btw)!

Option A (let’s call it) is a pretty quirky one detailing my experiences as doubling as a salesperson and waitress at a pretty unusual type of company, where I worked 8 hours a day for 2 months straight. My achievements there were more personal than objectively impressive (after all, I was a waitress), but I really felt it captured aspects of my personality–humility, humor, and finding intellectual stimulation even in the most unlikely places.

Option B is about my experience as a journalist where I got to interview really famous/ accomplished people. It sounds (and is) a lot more impressive than A, but my personal takeaways from it (that are not just a list of intellectual insights I gained into various disciplines) is less than that of A.

What’s Brown really looking for in this essay, and which option should I go with? Thanks!!

I’d go with A.

A sounds great to me. You can cover B in your activities list.

My instinct says to use A as well.
