brown in ibanking and consulting

how desirable is a brown degree in ibanking and consulting? i am deciding between upenn (non-wharton) and brown. At brown, i probably would be able to achieve a higher gpa given the noncompetitiveness of the school, whereas upenn maybe not. and i guess which school gives me the best flexibility if im looking into graduate school as well?

Go to Penn

goldman sachs is the largest employer of brown seniors

all the major banks (morgan stanley, goldman, etc.) and firms (mckinsey, bain, etc.) recruit heavily on campus

a few hedgefunds recruit at brown but not penn (including bridgewater, the second largest hedgefund in the world)

hrmm... who are your sources on that

There is no way you can compare Brown recruiting to Penn. Plus, if you're at Penn (non-wharton) you can still go to the Wharton recruiting fairs and meet all the same people...Its a no-brainer if you're sure you want to go into ibanking consulting hf..

johnnyhoward3,
You just don't know what you are talking about do you? Yes, you can go to the Wharton recruiting fairs and meet the same people. The only problem is that the recruiter wouldn't be recruiting you if you are not in Wharton. Almost all of the Penn people at i-banks and consulting firms are from Wharton.
OP,
Go to Brown. There is much less competition at Brown.
