I had my alum interview a few days ago! It was interesting because we met on a state school campus… she was a post doctoral lab assistant from Argentina! Our interview was extremely casual and affable, and it went infinitely better than my ED interview with Columbia (which was my first choice). Although I don’t count on getting admitted–yes, 9% get admitted but 91% are rejected-- it was a nice validation in the college application process. It got my mind off from the doldrums of high school and senioritis to make my vision of my future that much brighter…

Daughter had her Brown interview today and enjoyed it more than any of her other interviews.

just got back from my interview. you know it was a good interview when you leave it with this adrenaline rush that you’re so excited to go to the school. my interviewer was an amazing, extremely accomplished guy, and he told me I was one of the best candidates he’s seen since he started interviewing over 10 years ago. he also completely sold me on brown and I seriously hope I get in. brown is now one of my top choices!
