I was just contacted & set up an interview with a Brown alumni, and I am kind of unsure as to what I should expect. He told me he only has two rules when it comes to interviews: “One: Dress Casually. Two: Don’t Be Nervous.” So, I am going to assume that he is somewhat easy-going. Also, it is scheduled for a Furniture store/warehouse? So, does anyone have any idea what I should expect? This is my first admissions interview. I have visited the campus, so- at the very least- that is a topic for discussion.

brown interviews are not only for the schools to know the applicants, but the applicants to see a bit into the school. so go ask those questions you've always wanted to be answered about brown. ask about their experience there. be yourself. think of it as a conversation with a brown student, not an interviewer

Hey there... I was recently contacted also and the woman told me that it was her first year doing this. She told me that Brown told her that this interview has no affect on admission; it is only informational. I'm meeting her this Sunday at a local diner. She told me to "meet her by the gumball machine at 1:00, I'll be wearing a black ski jacket." It doesn't seem like anything to stress about.
