I am attending high school in the U.S., I have a canadian citizenship and I should get my green card in a few months. I know that UPenn is need-blind for U.S. citizens and mexicans and canadians, but does brown have the same policy? (since they are all ivy league) I have the same question about columbia. If anyone can enlighten me on this, that’ll be great. thanks.

Yes, Canadian students are treated more or less like American students.

Thanks for the respone nbachris but what do you base your response on? I could not find anything specifically regarding need blind and canadian students.

Hey Justinz,

I'm Canadian too...and I'm wondering the same thing, but I think I remember reading something about Brown NOT treating Canadians like US citizens. I'll keep looking around though and if I find anything, I'll let you know.

They aren't. I've checked several times

I'm a Canadian citizen applying too. I think we are treated like US Citizens. I seem to remember reading somewhere that US citizens, Canadina Citizens and Mexican citizens are all treated the same. I think it was for Brown, but it might have been or Columbia - I've read so many application instructions it's hard to rember which is which. So what I'm saying is I think so

No wait.. just found it on the fin aid site. No, Brown takes your financial aid into consideration... Crap I applyied for fin aid... my chances are ruined
