Brown or Duke?

Hey everyone! I got accepted to Brown and Duke and have no idea where to go. I did not get to visit, so I have been looking up things online, asking people etc.

I am looking for a place with excellent education but also good social life and a strong community. I am an international student, so the aspect of diversity is also very important to me. I am interested in Economics, Math and Education and I would love to do social work during my time at University and hopefully get some good internships. In terms of the weather I don’t really care - location on the other hand is important!

Let me know what you all think! Thanks so much

If you like a quieter more subtle experience, go to Brown. If you want a very upbeat and boisterous experience and big time sports, then Duke. Duke is very much an exaggerated college experience, much like Notre Dame.

The Duke campus is much nicer.

It’s discussed here often:

Is one of the schools more well known/more respected in your home country? That might play a part in the deicison.
