<p>I have a few years before I apply to colleges, but as of now, I am really interested in two colleges. Brown University and Amherst College. I like many aspects of both, like open curriculum, liberal leaning environment, good fin.aid, and standout academics. Can I get any one else’s interpretation on which college you think is better. Also, I want to be a journalist, but hope to soemday major in English or poli.science. Thanx u guys…</p>
<p>this is just obvious, but hugely different campus and size and thus quite a different atmosphere.... that's something you will definitely want to explore and brown and amherst seem to me to offer a pretty good contrast that will help you alot when looking at other schools</p>
<p>In terms of strict academic quality, neither is "better." They are both top-notch schools, and both are extremely selective. However, they are different academically (as well as socially, etc.). Tell us more about what you want...</p>
